Unlike the beloved card game, this life-changing attempt is not something I hold near and dear to my heart. Yet.
So far today has consisted of: waking up at the ass-crack of dawn (5am!) for work, coming home to take (what was supposed to be) a quick nap, INTENTIONS of a hike at the local state park 15 minutes away (My friends all bailed. Scouting for new ones ASAP), and starting this new blog!
FOOD: I haven’t eaten anything necessary bad, minus a few m&ms, but it is 4pm and I have only had 1 serving of fruit so far & 1 serving of veggies! I was craving chocolate, so I made a “diet” brownie batter dip recipe, found here http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/07/25/dark-chocolate-brownie-batter-dip/ but don’t feel good about my decision to eat that rather than a salad or piece of fruit. Had some of my leftover homemade chicken rice soup for lunch — YUMMY! Chicken breast, brown rice, quinoa, corn, black beans, carrots, asparagus, green beans, chicken broth A friend is coming to town with plans for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, contemplating a salad, even though it’s a sin to order salad at a wing place. He has also mentioned wine for tonight’s festivities, so I am trying not to eat much until he gets here in fear of total diet failure.
EXERCISE: Teaching a group fitness class tonight, and practicing a routine for another afterwards. Doesn’t exactly count as exercise in my opinion, but it beats sitting around this apartment! Maybe a late night walk this evening to make myself feel a little better. Working on my feet alllllll day tomorrow, so that has to be burning something too!
